Memorial Wall

Lakefield Cemetery’s Memorial Wall allows families to memorialize loved ones who may or may not be buried at Lakefield Cemetery. Many families are choosing to scatter loved one’s cremated remains at places like the family cottage or on the water and these places may not allow for permanent memorialization. By placing a plaque on the Memorial Wall it gives a families and friends a physical touch stone and permanent place of remembrance.

The Memorial Wall is located to the south of our Memorial Walkway where you can select a  spot for a bronze leaf or butterfly. As more leaf plaques are placed on the wall it will fill out to form the tree canopy.

 Bronze leaf plaques can be placed on the East and West sides of the Memorial Wall. The plaque can accommodate one person’s name, lifespan and a small epitaph. The cost of a leaf plaque including installation and HST is $508.50

Butterfly plaques can be places on the North and South sides of the Memorial Wall. Limited spaces are available. The plaque comes in many different colours and can accommodate one person’s name, lifespan and a small epitaph. The cost of a butterfly plaque including installation and HST is $700.60.
